Assisted SDG&E in the shake-table testing of 500kV bus supports to evaluate the expected performance of the bus supports retrofitted with friction spring dampers. Our scope of work included pretesting analysis to determine appropriate scaling for ground motions, 3D modeling in SAP 2000, post-testing analysis, steel fabrication procurement, and test lab procurement.
